The Tupelo Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a series of home burglaries. William Larry “Bill” McNutt Jr is currently being charged with entering three Tupelo residences and stealing items from them. The investigation into additional burglaries is ongoing. Lee County Justice Court Judge John Hoyt Sheffield set McNutt’s bond at $40,000.

The Tupelo Police Department is trying to locate a suspect wanted for embezzlement under contract. Michael Eleopoulos, 45 of Tupelo, is accused of accepting money to perform home repairs and not completing the repairs. The repairs were for damages received during the April 28, 2014 tornado.
The Tupelo Police Department has made three arrests in connection with a burglary and vandalism that occurred at the Boys and Girls Club. On 07-27-14 employees discovered that suspects had broken into the building, vandalized the building and stole items. Two males and one female juvenile have been detained.
