Christian Dane comes to Tupelo Youth Soccer Association from Roanoke Star Soccer Club where he served as the Boys Director of Coaching. Prior to his tenure at Roanoke Star, Christian worked for Thunder Soccer Club, located directly south of Atlanta, GA. He served as Thunder’s Under 6 Academy of Excellence Director as well as head coach of several boys and girls teams ranging in ages U9 through U16. Christian was also the goalkeeper coach and assistant Boys Varsity Coach at Union Grove High School in McDonough, GA. Christian has coached teams in several high level tournaments such as the Virginia State Cup, Disney Junior Soccer Showcase, Publix Atlanta Cup and Georgia State Academy Cup. His teams finished first in the latter two tournaments. Christian holds the USSF National B License, USSF National Youth License, Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma and NSCAA Goalkeeping Level I and II diplomas. He intends to earn his USSF National A in the near future.
Christian accepted a scholarship to play soccer at Georgia Southwestern State University, a NCAA Division II institution located in Americus, GA. He was a four year starter and was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-South Region Second Team. Christian was the first student-athlete at Georgia Southwestern to receive an all-region award at the NCAA level. He graduated in 2009 with a B.S. in Psychology and graduated in 2012 with a M.S. in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University.
Christian has a strong passion for soccer and working with players. He is excited to serve as the Director of Coaching at TYSA/TFC United.
