As of today, November 1, the new Development Code and Zoning map are effective. All projects, events, permits and applications for variances must be submitted under the new code and map. 36″x36″ full color maps are available for $30 each and may be picked up in our offices on the 3rd Floor of City Hall.
The City Council voted Tuesday, October 1, 2013 to adopt the proposed development code for the City of Tupelo. The new code will be effective November 1, 2013. Projects and applications that began under the previous code may be completed under those standards. Recently the City of Tupelo passed a revision to the city’s Floodplain Ordinance. This revision covers changes made to the Floodplain on certain map panels by FEMA.
